The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects just awarded the Little Forks / Petite Fourche proposal a national award of excellence in the Research category.
The jury found the proposal to be "an ambitious project that thoroughly applies landscape architectural principles within a complex sociopolitical context. The research was completed with rigour, beginning with citizen-led consultation, solid ethical grounding, and comprehensive awareness of legislative and administrative contributions. The resulting innovative approaches can be applied to urban parks nationally. The proposal boldly anticipates the clever recovery of an expansive urban river system as well as improved livability throughout a dense urban landscape."
To all of you who contributed to the development of this proposal: thank you, merci, miigwech.
