Our proposal

This web site is dedicated to a citizen-led proposal for a new national urban park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Acknowledgements

The present national urban park proposal is located on Treaty One Territory, the home and traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We acknowledge the wrongs of the past, including to the land, and hope that this proposal will help advance reconciliation between all our people.

* Indigenous naming of the proposed park will be established through a consultative process led in collaboration with Welcoming Winnipeg.
